Facebook has announced product ads which allow businesses to upload their entire product catalogue and deliver targeted ads. The new ad format allows for single or multiple products to be displayed and can be targeted to particular audience segments. Product ads are “designed to help businesses promote multiple products or their entire product catalog, across all the devices their customers use”, says Facebook.
Ads can be combined with a custom audience segment, allowing businesses to present ads based on website and app interactions. This allows products that people have viewed to be displayed within Facebook, or advertisers can choose to showcase their most popular products.
