Google stocks surged over 16% on Friday (about 65 billion dollars) on the news that the company is seeing higher than industry expected growth in mobile and video. Amazon Loves Shopping
Things are looking positive for e-commerce businesses as Amazon heralds Prime Day to be a success despite a day of customer complaints last Wednesday. The online retail giant is reporting worldwide orders are up 266% higher last Wednesday than the same day last year, selling over 47,000 televisions in the 24-hour period!
Google AdWords Goes Shopping Too
Google is getting in on the online shopping fun too with new features in Google Shopping. The new shopping ads will be expandable; featuring more information for each product, including previews and availability in local stores.
Google is also going to be testing ‘Buy Now’ buttons to allow purchases to be made on its website, as well as promising better mobile buying solutions in the near future.
The New Cutting Edge
Last week Microsoft updated us on Windows 10 via their blog. The team at the heart of the upcoming release is claiming their new browser, Windows Edge will be faster than Safari or Chrome. Will the newcomer soon be populating our GA visitors reports?
