As part of efforts to improve spam detection including the addition of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gmail has also announced a new analytics product for businesses called Postmaster tools.

Facebook Increases User Control

Facebook users celebrated better control of their newsfeeds last week when the company announced users can now choose which of their friends and pages updates they want to prioritise. The new Facebook News Feed Preferences features a Pages discovery tab to help you find pages of interest to you.

LinkedIn Celebrates

LinkedIn reached another high point last week with one million professionals now having posted on its network. This milestone follows LinkedIn’s acquisition of online learning company Lynda last month for $US 1.5 billion.
