Facebook continues its ongoing mission to take over the Internet and your phone with the launch of Facebook Notify – promising to keep you up to date with everything you care about!

From friends and family, to news, movie releases and results from the big game. Facebook is working with a range of sources to cover all your bases. Notables include the New York Times and Popular Mechanics. Available to iOS users in the US, Family Notify is set to roll out to other locations and platforms.

Google Maps Goes Off the Grid

There’s nothing quite as disconcerting as Google Maps losing connectivity. Inevitably, you’re left driving blind in a new place. Google Maps, is now making sure that this scenario never needs to be repeated. This week Google announced you can now download a map for seamless navigation during your trip without any worries about connectivity.

Instagram Partners

Instagram for business has announced a new partner program this week. In a structure that that is reminiscent of the early days of the Google AdWords Certified Partner program (now renamed Google Partners) the new program is taking applications internationally for experts in the fields of ad tech, community management and content creation.

In making the announcement, Instagram revealed forty initial partners, including brands such as Hootsuite, Adobe and Salesforce. Ultimately Instagram wants to provide a list of trusted experts to marketers to ensure their best chance for success on Instagram advertising.
