In an AdWords Performance Summit blog post Tuesday 5 May 2015, Google confirmed speculation that the number of searches on mobile now surpasses those on desktop. Google says this currently applies to 10 countries but only specified USA and Japan. The message is clear; Mobile is NOW! Google rolled out a change to its search algorithm in favour of mobile friendly sites last month. And it’s no secret Google expects the cost of ads on mobile to rise.
New products for AdWords Announced:
- AdWords attribution: to move beyond a last-click attribution model. You’ll be able to select an attribution model for each of your conversion types.
- Cross-device conversions integrated with automated bidding: Later this year, you’ll be able to take action on these insights when cross-device conversions are integrated into automated bidding. This is part of a broader update that will give you the option to include cross-device conversions as part of the Conversions column.
- Marketing experiments: This morning, we introduced new tools to help marketers measure the incremental impact generated from your Google ads.
